A few thoughts on the commissioning process
Send me a text or a few keywords that describe a personal vision: a memory, a dream, a longing, a future scenario …
I will let your words resonate within me and develop from them a painting that – to the best of my ability and intuition – becomes the strongest image I can create.
As I paint, the mood and content of your vision intertwine with images from my own inner archive. A part of you and a part of me will meet in this shared,
imaginary space.
At the beginning of the commission, I cannot predict what the final painting will look like, as the creative process is intuitive and associative. It is precisely this process-driven approach that later gives the painting´the suggestive power a living artwork needs.
I do not create preliminary sketches, nor do I make revisions afterwards – unlike what one might expect from a more conventional service, such as an illustration. However, if you want, you are welcome to share preferences regarding techniques or color atmospheres that you’ve noticed in my previous works.
If you feel drawn to this poetic type of commission, you should be open to a bit of risk and trust in my visual language.
If you do not like the finished painting, you can choose another work from my archive that is comparable in size and technique. The commissioned work will then remain with me.

Zum Ablauf des Auftrags
Sende mir einen Text oder Stichworte, die eine persönliche Vision beschreiben: eine Erinnerung, einen Traum, eine Sehnsucht, ein Zukunftsszenario… Vielleicht begleitet es dich schon lange – vielleicht kommt es dir erst beim Schreiben in den Sinn.
Ich lasse deine Worte in mir wirken und entwickle daraus eine Malerei, die – nach meinem Können und Empfinden – das beste Bild ist, welches ich dazu erschaffen kann.
Während ich male, verweben sich die Stimmung und der Inhalt deiner Vision mit Bildern aus meinem eigenen inneren Archiv. Ein Teil von dir und ein Teil von mir begegnen sich also in einem gemeinsamen, imaginären Raum.
Zu Auftragsbeginn kann ich nicht vorhersehen, wie das Bild am Ende aussehen wird, da der Entstehungsprozess intuitiv und assoziativ verläuft. Genau diese Prozesshaftigkeit verleiht der Malerei später die Suggestionskraft, die ein lebendiges Bild braucht.
Ich fertige keine Skizzen im Vorraus an, und nehme auch keine nachträglichen Korrekturen vor – wie man es bei einer klassischen Dienstleistung, etwa einer Illustration, erwarten würde.
Du kannst mir jedoch gerne Hinweise zu bevorzugten Techniken oder Farb-Stimmungen geben, die du aus meinen bisherigen Arbeiten kennst.
Wenn du Lust auf diese Art von poetischem Auftrag hast, solltest du also ein wenig risikobereit sein und Vertrauen in meine Bildsprache mitbringen.
Sollte dir das fertige Bild nicht gefallen, kannst du dir eine andere Arbeit aus meinem Archiv aussuchen, die preislich vergleichbar ist. Die Auftrags-Arbeit verbleibt dann bei mir.
